I have been trying to cut on the sugar intake of late. So have started having dates as our post-meal dessert. Dates are rich in natural sugars and have innumerable health benefits. They are the best solution for sugar cravings. This gave me an idea to bake with dates.
This is a simple cocoa cake which I have baked with dates puree. As dates are sweet, I have added just 2 tbsp raw sugar to it. If you like your desserts to be sweeter, please add sugar or jaggery as per your taste.
Coming to dates, these are rich in iron, calcium, potassium and zinc. Dates add vitamin B complex, vitamin A and C to diet. Being rich in proteins, they improve muscle strength when consumed.
